It's March, so we must be in the pool...

As the calendar switches to March, the lure of the pool becomes too much for us to resist. On March first this year, the air temperatures were flirting with ninety. The kids didn't mind that the water temps were still around 67 - they had waited long enough. So, swim we did.





It was cold! It takes some getting used to, especially for us older folks, but Jimmy has no problem jumping right in. Watch him get out just as fast and gasp for air on the deck.





Sammi was next, although she required a bit more cajoling. She gets out just as fast.





Then, Zachary got in. He ducked his head and got out fairly quickly. He wasn't as demonstrative as the other kids, but he makes it clear what he thinks of the water.





The pool looked great - clean and sparkly. There are some issues that need to be addressed, such as the salt cell is clogged and needs cleaning and there's no chlorine in the pool. As of this writing, both of those have been fixed and the only remaining issue is the vacuum - it seems weak after a long winter. Other than that, the pool is ready to go.





Jim gets props as the first in and last out. He loves this thing! Dad also went in, but it was ugly and words were uttered that cannot be repeated, even on an uncensored Internet.





We are looking forward to another fun season in the water!
